About
Project

Step

In Israel in recent years, there has been a growing understanding that it is not possible to build a shared society without a media that reflects it fairly. Although the Arab community constitutes about a fifth of the country’s population, it is underrepresented and sometimes even distorted in the mainstream Hebrew-speaking media. After the events of October 7, 2023, the representation of Arab voices in the public sphere decreased even further, while divisive and distrustful narratives strengthened.
